If you have ever wondered what it is liked to use Windows Phone, but didn’t want to buy one to find out or couldn’t be bothered going to your local mobile shop to test one out then Microsoft has the answer! They have released a browser based demo that allows Android and iPhone users to give their platform a whirl. The HTML5 based demo offers up the familiar Metro interface and replicates the experience you would get when using an actual Windows Phone device.
You can try out features such as People, Messaging, Outlook, Calendar, etc and they each work the way they would on an actual device. Having tried it out it works pretty well and does genuinely give you an idea of using Windows Phone. Obviously it’s pre-set with content and activities for you to try, but that just means you actually get to see some of the features.
You can give it a shot yourself by visiting http://aka.ms/wpdemo from your handset’s browser.
