Community Makers Fall Program

Join like-minded, creative teens from the Chicago Area to envision positive community change! Over the course of this workshop series, participants will be guided through the entire design process and will re-design a local empty lot. Students will gain hands-on experience developing drawings, collages, and models and will receive a $150 stipend for their participation.

Details:

  • Wednesdays, September 18th - November 20th

  • Time: 4:30 - 6:30 pm

  • Open to: Chicago Area 8th-12th graders

  • Topics covered: Architecture, Urban Planning, Public Interest Design

  • Values covered: Human-Centered Design, Sustainability, Community Health

  • Cost: FREE! Each participant will receive a $150 stipend.
    This program is supported by the National Endowment for the Arts and SGA Youth & Family Services.
