This five-week program explores how 3D printing can improve lives. Students will learn about how 3D printing is used to invent inclusive and sustainable solutions and create an innovative design of their own. Open to Chicago Area 3rd-5th graders.
For one weekend only, the Chicago Architecture Center gives you the chance to go behind the scenes of architecturally, culturally and historically significant sites across Chicago. This free annual festival is one of the largest events of its kind in the world—explore 170+ sites in 20+ neighborhoods.
The Chicago Sukkah Design Festival pairs community organizations in Chicago’s North Lawndale neighborhood with diverse architectural designers to design and construct sukkahs, small outdoor pavilions built for the Jewish holiday of Sukkot.
Join like-minded, creative teens from the Chicago Area to envision positive community change! Over 10 weeks, students will gain hands-on experience developing drawings, collages, and models and will receive a $150 stipend for their participation. Open to Chicago Area 8-12th graders.
Sundays on the Boulevard is an event sponsored by Lawndale Pop-Up that features a petting zoo, nature workshops, horse rides, free books, and more for the community.

Mobile Makers Chicago first block party, “Maker, Tinker, Thinker!” will take place on Saturday, May 13th from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m, at 3390 W Bloomingdale Ave (corner of Bloomingdale and Kimball). This FREE community event will feature music, food, and opportunities to learn new skills and shape the future of the neighborhood through community conversation.
