Community Makers Fall Program

Get paid to envision positive change in your community! Join like-minded, creative teens from the Chicago Area to imagine a new life for an empty lot in Humboldt Park. Over the course of this workshop series, participants will be guided through the entire design process and gain hands-on experience developing drawings, collages, and architectural models. Participants will have the opportunity to share their ideas with the community at two public presentations on Saturday, October 17th and November 14th. Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a $200 stipend.

  • Thursdays, October 1st - November 19th from 4:30-6:30PM (8 Workshop Sessions)

  • Public presentations on Saturday, October 17th & November 14th (2 Presentations)

  • Open to: Chicago Area 8th-12th graders

  • Topics covered: Architecture, Interior Design, Urban Planning, Public Space

  • Values covered: Public Interest Design, Sustainability, Community Health

  • Snacks provided

  • Cost: FREE! Each participant will receive a $200 stipend for participation.
